Tesheia van der Horst, Director of Portfolio Services, supports our portfolio by empowering founders, providing access to resources, and cultivating community. With a passion for fostering the growth of the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs, Tesheia is committed to supporting changemakers within the startup and investing ecosystem.
Born and raised in Sonoma County, Tesheia moved to the Bay Area after receiving her B.A. from Wesleyan University where she studied Economics and Social Theory. Tesheia then joined VMG Partners, a consumer and technology-focused Private Equity and Venture Capital Firm. As VMG Partners’ Chief of Staff, Tesheia supported the General Partners with various strategic projects and initiatives across multiple funds.
Outside work, you can find Tesheia fostering kittens for her local animal rescue organization, going on coastal hikes, and attempting to keep up with all the newest hit TV shows.
